The Powerful Rillaboom VMAX! | Pokemon Decks | Card Cavern

One of the strongest VMAX's to come out of Rebel Clash was Rillaboom VMAX! Rillaboom VMAX is a great new addition to the already existing Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor & Rillaboom archetype! Rillaboom VMAX provides us a great attacker that OHKO most Tag Team & V Pokémon! Rillaboom VMAX's attack Max Beating does 130 damage, but you may discard up to 3 grass energy, and it will do 50 more damage per energy discarded, allowing you to do 280 damage in total! So let's take a look at the list I have come up with for this Rillaboom VMAX/Rillaboom deck!

The combo behind this Rillaboom VMAX deck is to use Rillaboom's ability Voltage Beat to attach 2 Grass energy from your deck to one of your Pokémon, so you use it to power up your Rillaboom VMAX or to power up your Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor GX! Some people like to play Rillaboom with a rare candy engine to get Rillaboom into player easier and without having to use Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor as a 3 prizer being a sitting duck. With all the recent Rillaboom VMAX lists from the Limitless Qualifiers, it seems that the Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor method is the best way to play the deck, over the rare candy method. Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor also provides us a good attacker with its two other attacks, Calming Hurricane & Tropical Hour GX, both of which are good against Dragapult VMAX! Calming Hurricane heals 30 from Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor, while Tropical Hour GX with 6 Grass energy on Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor allows you to shuffle all of your opponent's energy in play back into their deck, this can seriously slow down decks like Zacian V & Dragapult! While Rillaboom VMAX is OHKOing Tag Teams, Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor can be used for other situations like against Dragapult VMAX! I also have a Shaymin Prism Star in the deck as it has a free retreat cost and does 30 damage for each energy you have in play so in the late game if you do use Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor GX you can have a nice 1 prize attack with Shaymin!

Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor GX - 1/236 - Unified Minds | Card Cavern TCGs

For the trainers, I do play a lot of Pokémon search like Tag Call, Quick Ball & Net Ball. Each trainer is essential in this deck as Tag Call can search out your Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor and your Mallow & Lanas. At the same time, Net Ball can find your Grookey, Rillaboom V & even a grass energy if you need just one more energy attachment! Turffield Stadium can be used as a counter stadium against Pikachu & Zekrom deck's Thunder Mountain, but also searches out your Rillaboom VMAXs! Energy Recycler is used for when you keep discarding energy with Rillaboom VMAX's attack, and you run low on Grass energy to use with Voltage Beat, you can shuffle 5 of those energies back! The supporter count is pretty normal, with Marnie being a good draw supporter in this deck to disrupt your opponent. Mallow & Lana is good for healing and keeping your bulky 3 prizers alive longer! Mallow & Lana is accessible with Tag Call to so you have a way to search for it if need be! The Weakness Guard energy is important so that Rillaboom VMAX or Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor are not knocked out quickly by fire Pokémon. Some other cards to consider playing in here include; 4 Tag Calls w/Caitlyn Cynthia & Guzma & Hala, -1 Weakness Guard for a 12th Grass energy, Ordinary Rod & Big Charm! Rillaboom VMAX seems to be a pretty strong and fun deck to play right now if you are bored of playing the usual top decks! If you want some extra help obtaining cards for this deck, Rillaboom V has its own Tin & the new Trainer's Toolkit is also good since it contains 2 Dedenne GX and a bunch of supporters like Boss's Order & Marnie!
