Still Dominating- PikaRom Deck Profile! | Card Cavern TCGs

With all the online tournaments going on right now, one deck has made a big comeback and is starting to dominate again! PikaRom! Many people wrote PikaRom off after rotation because of that fact the deck lost Electropower & Thunder Mountain; however, the deck has ended up winning multiple tournaments online, showing that even without Electropower & Thunder Mountain, it is still really good! Boltund V - 67/192 - Rebel Clash | Card Cavern TCGs

This a sample list of the PikaRom deck that has been dominating! The deck aims to use Boltund V to power up your PikaRom turn 1 for you, so you want to go 2nd with the deck. Once you use Boltund V to build up PikaRom, you then want to use PikaRom's attack Full Blitz to accelerate energy either onto a Raichu & Alolan Raichu GX or to another PikaRom. You can set up for possible Tag Bolt GX or give you more energy in play to work with for Boltund V's attack. PikaRom being able to accelerate energy onto the board is an excellent way to put yourself in a position where you won't be behind as you'll have another attack built up! Having access to the energy switches allows you to move the energy potentially to your PikaRom to pull off a Tag Bolt GX if need be.

The Raichu & Alolan Raichu plays a big role in this deck as you are trying to use it to paralyze your opponent's active and do 160 damage, which can 2 hit KO most VMAXs! Some decks like Eternatus VMAX only play so many switches to move out of the active spot, so Raichu & Alolan Raichu GX can be a problem for the opponent if they cannot get out of the Paralysis! Raichu & Alolan Raichu GX's GX attack can also do significant damage if need be when you get 5 energy on it!

Having the Tapu Koko Prism can be used for accelerating even more energy onto the board, even after PikaRom or Boltund V's attack. This, combined with energy switch, can allow you to attack out of nowhere. Since there are 10 basic Lightning energy alongside many ways to discard the energy, Tapu Koko is always live! Tapu Koko can also be used for taking out Altaria & Decidueye! The Vikavolt V can be useful for item locking the opponent with its first attack, especially to finish something off, crippling the opponent! Vikavolt V can also slow down slower decks that use cards like Rare Candy! Dedenne GX can be easily searched with Electromagnetic Radar & Quick Ball!

Crushing Hammer - 159/202 - Sword & Shield | Card Cavern TCGs

One card this deck utilizes is Crushing Hammer, which is very popular right now in many decks, but Crushing Hammer can slow down decks like Eternatus VMAX or ADP; sometimes, getting that lucky heads can make or break you winning or losing. Having 2 Reset Stamps is very important for hurting the opponent, especially when combined with Vikavolt's attack or Raichu & Alolan Raichu's attack! The 2 tools being used here also make a difference as Big Charm gives your PikaRom 270 HP, making it harder for it to be OHKO'd by stuff like Zacian V with an Altered Creation GX. Air Ballon is useful for giving your Boltund V or Raichu & Alolan Raichu GX a free retreat cost, allowing you to switch in between them! Some builds of PikaRom will play 4 Speed Lightning energy over 3, but with this one, we want basic energy for Full Blitz or Tapu Koko Prism! Some other additions to add to the deck are 2nd Boltund V, Tapu Koko V & a 4th Speed Lightning!

Just because PikaRom lost a few important cards, it can still dominate and perform well right now in our current Standard Format! PikaRom is definitely worth picking up if you're new to the game as it is easily accessible through the PikaRom Battle Arena Deck!
