A New Fire Deck Contender- Tempo Zard! | Card Cavern TCGs

It seems that new Welder decks just keep popping up as Centiskorch VMAX, Baby Blacephalon & Aurora Box all have seen play recently, but now a Welder deck has come out of the woodwork! This deck is referred to as Tempo Zard & has been performing consistently well in online tournaments! This deck is pretty much a hybrid of Baby Blacephalon with a bit of Welder Box in it as it uses multiple attackers like ReshiZard & Cramorant V! Let's take a look at a sample list & discuss what the deck is all about!!

This is a pretty good sample list of what this deck is all about! The deck uses mainly 3 different attackers in Blacephalon, Reshiram & Charizard GX, and Cramorant V! Reshiram & Charizard is great against decks like Zacian V and Pikachu & Zekrom GX! Reshiram & Charizard can use its attack Double Blaze turn 1 with Welder & 3 Fire energy to do 200 damage; this can be good to KO Boltund V and even just to put pressure on a potential active Tag Team! Reshiram & Charizard can then follow up with a Flare Strike combined with Galarian Zigzagoon to do 240 damage total to a Pikachu & Zekrom GX to have it be KO'd in one hit! Of course, Reshiram & Charizard can also deliver hard-hitting blows too with its attack Outrage, which does 30 + 10 more damage for each damage counter on Reshiram & Charizard! This attack can make your opponent cautious about attacking you!

Blacephalon - 32/214 - Unbroken Bonds | Pokemon Singles | Card Cavern

Your other big attacker is Blacephalon! Blacphalon for 3 Fire energy allows you to discard any number of Basic Fire energy in your hand to then do 50 damage for each one discarded! This attack is huge for being able to take big One Hit KOs on Tag Teams and VMAXs, when this attack is combined with cards like Fire Crystal to grab energy from your discard pile! Blacephalon is good for KOing those higher HP Pokémon that Reshiram & Charizard cannot KO, or it can finish off a Pokémon, or even setting up for a KO with Cramorant V!

Cramorant V - 155/202 - Sword & Shield | Pokemon Singles | Card Cavern TCGs

Speaking of Cramorant V, the other attacker here, uses Spit Shot with Welder to snipe Dedenne GX off your opponent's bench, or even with the Galarian Zigzagoon; it can do 170 snipes to benched Oricorio GXs! It can 2 hit KO many VMAXs as 160 x 2 is 320 damage, which most VMAXs have! Those are your big 3 attackers that the deck uses & all of them play perfectly together as usually Reshiram & Charizard can open the game & Cramorant V can be used last to KO Dedenne GX to win the game!

There is a lot of support here, like Mewtwo, Jirachi, Galarian Zigzagoon, Oranguru & your draw support like Dedenne GX & Oricorio GX! All your single prize basics synergize well with Scoop Up Net as they have their own combos! Jirachi is useful to help find essential cards like Welder & Giant Hearth! Mewtwo is good for putting Welders back on top of your deck, which can be used tactically against Marnie! Oranguru can also be good to protect yourself from Marnie but also can combo with Mewtwo's ability! Galarian Zigzagoon is, of course, to help with your numbers & math in certain matchups like PikaRom & opposing Welder decks! Marshadow is useful to help counter Chaotic Swell so you can play down your Giant Hearths! Obviously, Dedenne GX & Crobat are essential to help dig through your deck early on. Oricorio GX is very good when combined with Blacephalon so that you can dig through more cards to find more Fire energy & Fire Crystals!

This deck plays very fast & tries to take a KO every turn if it can! It's most favorable matchups include LucMetal Zacian, ADPZ, PikaRom, and other Welder based decks! Some other cards you can include here are: Dubwool V, Ordinary Rod, Reset Stamp, Great Catcher & Pokégear! This deck is starting to really make a name for itself in the Standard Format & is even beginning to edge out pure Blacephalon decks from performing as well!
